It can be difficult to protect a child from ongoing abuse when the child is too traumatized to disclose the abuse to the Child Protective Services interviewer or court evaluator. This article reports on the intensive 2-day trauma-focused treatment of an abused child. The child’s traumatization was reduced and she was thereby empowered to clearly and effectively disclose the abuse in two critical interviews.
